A reclusive dreamer who never wanted his castles and palaces to be shared with others. Well, that's one wish we aren't able to grant him - on this tour we'll see not one but two of his incredible refuges. We'll begin at Linderhof Palace, a French rococo-style castle inspired by Versailles itself and surrounded by immaculately manicured gardens, before stopping for photos and shopping in Oberammergau, known for its passion plays, wood carvings and Lüftlmalerei fresco paintings. After later arriving in Hohenschwangau and stopping for lunch, we'll go on to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. Take in this masterpiece, which Ludwig II had constructed atop huge, jagged rocks in the middle of beautiful, though secluded, mountain scenery. Enjoy the journey on our tour bus and let your imagination run wild with all the information provided on the mysterious world of King Ludwig II. After visiting these two architectural masterpieces, you can sink back into your comfortable seat on our tour bus and go over the day's many impressions while we ensure your safe arrival back in Munich.
